How to protect yourself in a hotel: the best ways
Kat Kamalani, a well-known flight attendant on social media, has revealed ways to protect yourself while staying at a hotel.
The woman posted a video with explanations on her personal TikTok page (to see it, scroll to the end).
According to the flight attendant, first of all, tourists should not say their room number out loud at the front desk if someone is standing next to them. She noted that it is also better not to enter the room if there are strangers nearby.
"Always make sure there's no one behind you when going into your room. And check if there's anyone in the room — behind curtains, under bed, etc. Also, don't forget to lock the room door," she added.
She went on to recommend checking the corners of the mattress for bed bugs and immediately removing the bedspread and decorative pillows from the bed, as they are almost never washed. Kat also warned travelers not to put their suitcases and bags on a clean bed, as they were on the floor at the airport.
