Pickled lemons are a rather unusual variant of a delicious savory appetizer. The citrus has a rich flavor, and wonderful aroma and can be stored for a long time in a jar. The product will be a bright addition to your holiday table and will go well with other dishes.

The idea of making pickled appetizer lemons was published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname dribka.soli. Cut the fruit into as thin slices as possible so that they can marinate.

Ingredients:

  • lemon – 3 1/2 lemons
  • sugar – 2 tbsp
  • salt – 1 tbsp
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tsp each of chili flakes or harissa paste, chopped garlic, turmeric, ground cumin, coriander (the amount can be adjusted)
  • some green onions

Method of preparation:

1. Slice the lemons very thinly.

2. Put in a bowl.

3. Squeeze well.

4. Collect the juice in a separate container.

5. Squeeze the juice from the half of the lemon that has not yet been cut.

6. Sprinkle the lemons with sugar, salt, pepper, mix, and set aside.

7. Pour all the spices into a container with lemon juice, mix well, and pour it into the lemons.

8. Mix well again.

9. Put it all in a jar and refrigerate.

10. You can eat in 6-8 hours.
