How to make your car always smell nice: a simple trick

How to make a natural car freshener yourself

You will need an ordinary glass jar with a metal lid. For the aromatic mixture, you will need to fill it with the following ingredients:

• baking soda
• essential oil of your choice
• a piece of cardboard

Fill the jar two-thirds full with baking soda (it already neutralizes odors well by itself). Add 20-30 drops of essential oil to it to ensure pleasant scent. Citrus, pine, lavender, mint, and other herbs are good.

Close the jar and shake it vigorously to distribute the essential oil evenly.

Remove the lid, place it on cardboard, and cut out a circle of the appropriate diameter. Place this circle on top of the jar and fasten it, for example, with tape. Use a paperclip to make several holes.

The best place to use this freshener is in a car cup holder or under the seat. It should be changed once a month, as soda will absorb moisture from the air, and oil will gradually evaporate.
