How to fall asleep easily in 5 minutes: a simple technique
Millions of people around the world suffer from insomnia every day, which can be caused by several reasons. If you are an adult, you need 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. Children need 9 to 13 hours, while toddlers and babies need 12 to 17 hours.
But for adults, it is often quite a challenge to fall asleep on time and right away. That's why therapist and mental health game developer Hazel Gale, also known as @betwixt.app, shared a simple technique on her TikTok to help you fall asleep in 5 minutes.
How to fall asleep in less than 5 minutes
When the lights go out, Hazel suggests playing a game in your mind. You start by "picking a category, which can be anything from fruits and vegetables to movies, or famous actors. Then you start going through the letters of the alphabet, thinking of something from your category that starts with each letter."
"I think the best way to do it is to think about the letter at the end of your inhalation and then think about your response on the inhalation and then think about how you breathe. So, this is the alphabet game, I've been using it every night for years, and I don't think it's ever let me down," the doctor said.
