Bed linen is not only difficult to wash, but also to dry, especially in winter when you don't want to turn on the heating or dryer for fear of increasing energy costs.

If not dried properly, bedding can easily cause mold to grow in your home and give off unpleasant odors. There are three ways to help your laundry dry faster, OBOZ.UA writes.

Wash your bedding early in the morning

You should wash your bedding at the beginning of the day. Of course, the inside of the house will heat up during the day, which will give it a better chance of drying faster.

Do not dry the sheets at night, as the temperature in the house or apartment drops significantly at this time.

Dry your laundry in the kitchen

Experts recommend leaving bedding to dry in the kitchen. This can be a "two-in-one life hack" because the kitchen is usually the "warmest part of the house" because of the oven and frequent human movement.

If you often cook in the oven, you can use the excess heat to dry your laundry in that room at the same time. If you place the dryer near the oven door, the excess heat will speed up the drying process.

However, please note that if you are cooking a more odorous food, this may not be the best option as the smell may "cling to the sheets."

Hang the sheets over the hood

When it comes to hanging sheets, using a range hood can make a difference. It radiates a significant amount of heat throughout the day, helping to dry the laundry faster.

In houses with central heating, it is advisable to place bedding on a grill near the radiator, but not on the radiator, to dry them.
