Mackerel is a very valuable and tasty product that can be salted and baked. Mackerel can also be smoked.
The chef shared a recipe for deliciously baked mackerel with zest and spices on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Mackerel
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon zest 1/2 tsp
- Orange zest 1/2 tsp
- Ginger 1 tsp
- Thyme 1-2 sprigs
- Juice of one orange
- Whiskey 1 tbsp
Method of preparation:
1. Divide the mackerel into fillets, remove the bones with tweezers, and make shallow cuts on the skin.
2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper on both sides and add the remaining ingredients. Let stand for 10 minutes.
3. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°, top/bottom + convection.
Serve with orange pulp!
