Herring appetizer: how to cook a delicious healthy dish

According to experts, herring is a very tasty and valuable product that everyone should eat. Herring can be used to make delicious appetizers and spreads.

The chef shared on Instagram a recipe for a delicious herring appetizer with onions, spices, and oil.

Ingredients:

  • Herring 1 pc (lightly salted)
  • Red onion 1/2 pc
  • Green onions 2 tbsp
  • Hot pepper 1 pc
  • Bay leaf 1 pc
  • Allspice 2 peas
  • Salt a pinch
  • Coriander seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/3 tsp
  • Olive oil 100 ml
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp

Method of preparation:

1. Peel the herring from the bones and skin, cut into medium cubes.

2. Add all the ingredients, add the lemon juice at the end after the oil, so it does not interact with the fish protein, but only adds sourness to the oil.

3. Mix well and put in the refrigerator in an airtight container for at least 4 hours, preferably for a day.
