He could not pronounce Erdogan's name: Putin's epic embarrassment at the BRICS summit. Video
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin failed to pronounce Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's name the first time he spoke at the scandalous BRICS summit in Kazan, and it took him three attempts. The Kremlin leader's embarrassment was ridiculed online.
The video went viral, provoking a strong reaction from users. While announcing Erdogan's speech, Putin twice mispronounced his colleague's name.
The dictator read out the text from a prepared piece of paper.
First, he called Erdogan "Mr. Tayyip Erdzhogan" and then "Recep Tayyip Erdzhogan."
Only on the third attempt did Putin finally manage to pronounce the name of the Turkish president.
"The floor is now open to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Tayyip Erdzhogan... Recep Tayyip Erdzhogan... Erdogan," the dictator said.
As you know, Putin has repeatedly misspoken when addressing the leaders of other countries. In particular, the Kremlin leader regularly distorts the name of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Some observers suggest that these reservations are not accidental and are related to the way Russia's relations with other countries are developing.
Meanwhile, the network ridiculed the Russian war criminal's new embarrassment:
"We thought that a clown was elected in Ukraine, but it turned out that it was not in Ukraine," "He did it in vain, of course. An upset Turk is more serious than an upset Kazakh," "But our propagandists love to make jokes about Biden. Our young, energetic leader will give odds to him!", "He can't even read from a piece of paper," "Recep Tayyip is not Vova, he needs rehearsal," "Dementia," "It has never happened before, and here it is again," they write.
