Grated pie in a new way: how to make baking light and dietary
Grated cake is a popular pastry for tea. Shortcrust pastry is very easy to prepare, so even inexperienced cooks can make it. This dessert can even be made dietary if you don't add sugar and use frozen and fresh fruit instead of jam.
The idea of making a diet grated pie without sugar was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yuliia with the nickname yulia.oleksiyivna. It takes a maximum of 30 minutes to bake.
Ingredients for the dough:
- flour – 200 g
- butter – 100 g
- egg yolk – 1 pc
- Greek yogurt or sour cream – 2 tbsp
- baking powder – 0.5 tsp
Ingredients for the filling:
- cherries – 200 g (fresh or frozen)
- starch – 1 tbsp
- banana – 1 piece (small)
Method of preparation:
1. Grind the butter and flour into crumbs.
2. Add baking powder, egg yolk and yogurt.
3. Knead the dough, and divide it into 2 parts (one larger and one smaller).
4. Wrap in plastic wrap and put the smaller part in the freezer and the larger part in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
5. Mix the cherries with the starch and mashed banana.
6. Cover the mold with parchment, put most of the dough, and spread it over the bottom with your hands.
7. Spread the filling in an even layer.
8. Remove the second part of the dough from the freezer and grate on a coarse grater over the filling.
9. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
