Grated apple pie: how to prepare a delicious dessert for tea
When it's winter outside, we start striving to create the most cozy atmosphere at home that will warm not only our bodies but also our souls. That's why winter is considered a season of flavorful home baking.
Chef Lisa Hlinska shared a recipe for a bulk apple pie on her Instagram. It is quick and easy to prepare, and has a warm cinnamon flavor combined with juicy apples and extremely tender dough.
Ingredients
- flour - 150 g
- semolina - 150 g
- sugar - 150 g
- baking powder - 8 g
- salt - 1/3 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- apples - 1.5 kg
- cold butter - 100 g
- brown sugar - 50 g
- powdered sugar - 20 g
Method of preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Combine all the dry ingredients: flour, semolina, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
3. Peel and clean the apples and grate them on a coarse grater.
4. Assemble the pie. Put parchment on the bottom of a split mold.
5. Alternating layers, assemble the future cake. Start with the dry part. The thinner the layers, the better.
6. Finish the assembly with the dry part. Rub cold butter on top of it and sprinkle with brown sugar (or any other).
7. Bake for 45-50 minutes. If the top turns golden, you can cover the mold with foil to prevent the top of the cake from burning.
8. Leave for one hour and only then remove the mold and sprinkle with a thin layer of powdered sugar.
