Nowadays, you can get from Kherson to Kyiv and back quickly and easily by train or car. But there used to be another way, namely along the Dnipro River on the Chernyshevskyi steamer, the arrival of which was captured by an amateur's camera in the capital in 1966.

The photo was published on the page of the community spraga.info on Facebook. It shows how it looked like almost 60 years ago.

"The Chernyshevskyi steamer from Kherson arrives at the Kyiv River Station. 1966," the post reads.

The published photo shows a ship arriving at the capital's wharf. Judging by the photo, it was a wheeled (with propellers - Ed.) steamer.
