Food will never stick to the pan: we tell you what you need to do

Kateryna YagovychNews

Many people are familiar with the problem of food sticking to the pan. This not only spoils the taste of the dish, but also makes cleaning the kitchen much more difficult. Even the best quality non-stick or cast iron pans can lose their properties over time if they are not properly maintained. However, there is a simple but effective way to prepare a frying pan so that food no longer sticks.

The FoodOboz editorial team will tell you what to do to prevent food from sticking to the pan. Just a few correct steps and you will get rid of the problem forever.

Pre-cleaning

Before you start preparing the frying pan, make sure to degrease the surface. To do this, wash it thoroughly with a soft sponge, detergent, and warm water. Make sure the pan is completely dry before proceeding to the next step.

Searing with salt

This method is universal for all types of pans. Place a clean, dry frying pan on the stove and heat over medium heat. Add a few tablespoons of salt (it should cover the entire inside of the pan). Reduce the heat and stir the salt occasionally to ensure that it heats evenly. Continue to fry until the salt changes color to a slightly yellowish color and light smoke begins to rise from the surface. This takes about 10 minutes.

Post-roasting handling

Pour the salt out of the pan into a separate container to avoid staining the kitchen surface. Wipe the pan with a paper towel, cleaning both the bottom and sides. Pour a few drops of sunflower oil onto the surface of the pan and spread it evenly with a clean paper towel. Put the pan back on the stove and heat it for 2-3 minutes, then wipe it again with a paper towel to remove excess oil.

After this treatment, your pan is ready to use. The protective layer created will prevent food from sticking and keep the surface of the pan clean and smooth. This is an easy way to preserve the quality of your cookware and make cooking easier.
