Fluffy cottage cheese casserole without flour: how to replace the usual ingredient in baking
Cottage cheese casserole is a great option for breakfast or a hearty snack. This pastry perfectly complements the taste of your favorite coffee or tea. The dessert can be made a little more dietary if you replace the usual flour with one very simple ingredient, and add grated pumpkin in addition to a small amount of sugar.
The idea of making a fluffy cottage cheese casserole without flour was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Kateryna Movchan. Instead of flour, add semolina.
Ingredients:
- cottage cheese (the fatter the better) – 350 g
- eggs – 2 pcs.
- sugar – 3 tbsp
- semolina – 3 tbsp
- sour cream – 3 tbsp
- zest of 1 orange
- pumpkin – 200 g (weight already peeled)
Method of preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (top-down mode).
2. Pour cottage cheese, sugar, and eggs into a bowl.
3. At this stage, you can blend everything in a blender until smooth or grind the cottage cheese through a sieve, and then add sugar and eggs and mix.
4. Add sour cream and semolina.
5. Add the grated orange zest and grated pumpkin.
6. Knead everything well.
7. Grease a baking dish with butter. For this amount of ingredients, a rectangular muffin tin is ideal.
8. Pour the curd mass into the mold. Bake for 45 minutes.
9. After that, take it out, cool and enjoy.
