A flight attendant named Karyna shared what to do to survive a fire on an airplane. The woman advised, first of all, not to panic and follow the instructions of the crew members.
She shared the details on her personal Instagram page. According to the flight attendant, if the plane is engulfed in flames, passengers should duck as low as possible to the floor and breathe through a wet cloth. Then they should crawl to the exit.
"Remember that even if the plane is on fire, there is always a chance to escape! The main thing is not to panic and follow the instructions of the crew members. You need to bend down to the floor as low as possible and breathe through a wet cloth. Then you need to crawl to the exit because the smoke is light and rises up," the flight attendant said.

In addition, she spoke about situations when a fire may occur and advised what to do in this case. For example, in a situation where a tourist's cell phone catches fire, it should be quickly put out with water, and then the device should be handed over to the flight attendant.
"If you have a bottle of water at hand, fill the phone with water. Be sure to inform the flight attendant about it, who will put it in a metal container. Even if you have already extinguished the phone, there is a chance that it will re-ignite because the lithium battery is very hot. This may lead to a second fire," the flight attendant said.
She also noted that if a traveler notices smoke on the plane, they should immediately report it to the flight attendant, especially when there is white smoke, as this could be a wiring fire.
