Finnish pancake: how to make an original dessert in 15 minutes
The Finnish pancake is the most popular dessert in this Scandinavian country. You should definitely try it because it impresses not only with its taste but also with its appearance.
Food blogger Ilona Shevchuk shared how to make a Finnish pancake on Instagram. In just 15 minutes, this delicacy can already appear on your table.
Ingredients for the pancake:
- Milk - 400 ml.
- Egg - 2 pcs.
- Sugar - 3 tbsp.
- Salt - ½ tsp.
- Flour - 120 g.
- Baking powder - ½ tsp.
- Melted butter - 20 g.
Ingredients for the cream:
- Cold fat cream - 200 ml.
- Powdered sugar - 60 gr.
- Cream cheese - 100 gr.
Ingredients for the filling:
- Fruit\jam\jam
Method of preparation:
1. Prepare the pancake. Mix eggs with sugar and salt. Add warm milk and gradually add flour and baking powder to the mass. Finally, add the melted butter and mix.
2. Pour into a baking sheet covered with parchment and bake at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes, the pancake should be covered with bubbles and have a beautiful golden color.
3. Take it out of the oven and let it cool slightly. When cooled, the pancake will fall off – this is normal, it should be so. Turn the pancake over and remove the parchment.
4. Prepare the cream. Whip the cold cream with the powdered sugar until it is well thickened, add the cream cheese and mix well.
5. Grease the pancake with cream, put the filling, and wrap it in a roll. Leave for an hour to soak.
