Vice-champion of the Olympic Games in Athens-2024, two-time world champion (2003, 2005) Tatiana Tomashova has been deprived of her silver medal at the 2012 Olympics due to doping. The Court of Arbitration for Sport(CAS) found the 49-year-old Perm athlete guilty of violating anti-doping rules and disqualified her for 10 years. The period of disqualification will be counted from the day of the CAS verdict (September 3).

All the results of the athlete, shown in competitions from June 21, 2012 to January 3, 2015, are annulled.

Tomashova finished fourth in the 2012 Olympic Games final but was awarded silver after Turkish runners Asli Alptekin and Gamze Bulut were disqualified.
