Expert names 4 products you should never eat during a flight: what is the danger
Food safety expert Jean Dibble named four products that should not be consumed on board an airplane. They are milk, meat, rice, and water.
According to her, passengers should avoid them as it can be dangerous, the Daily Express reports.
It turned out that milk and milk-based dishes are the most harmful, while chicken and turkey are among the most dangerous meat products. Dibble explained that during long-term storage, many pathogenic bacteria form on them. The same applies to boiled rice.
Another product not recommended for consumption during air travel is water, in particular in the form of ice. Deeble said that carriers often use tap water for maintenance without purifying it: the microorganisms contained in such a liquid can be dangerous.
The expert explained that airline food, unlike restaurant food, is prepared in advance, which is why food may not be fresh and contain harmful bacteria or be stored with preservatives.
However, passengers usually do not feel this, because the work of taste buds is dulled when climbing.
