A food blogger shared how to make lemon tart yourself on Instagram. There is nothing complicated about it, and the taste will impress everyone.

Ingredients for the dough for a 25 cm mold

  • flour - 300 g
  • powdered sugar - 50 g
  • butter - 160 g
  • egg + water - 70 g

Ingredients for lemon curd

  • lemon zest - 1 pc
  • Lemon juice + water - 250 ml
  • sugar - 70 g
  • corn starch - 30 g
  • turmeric - ¼ tsp
  • butter - 50 g
  • egg yolks - 2 pcs

Ingredients for meringue

  • whites - 70 g
  • sugar - 140 g
  • water - 35 ml

Method of preparation

1. Prepare the dough. Combine all the ingredients except the egg and water until crumbs form.

2. Add the egg and water and knead the dough.

3. Put the dough into the mold and pierce it with a fork. Bake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

4. Prepare the lemon curd. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and beat until smooth.

5. Turn on the heat and stir constantly until it thickens.

6. Add butter and mix thoroughly. Turn off the heat.

7. Spread the lemon curd on the dough and bake at the same temperature for another 7-10 minutes.

8. Prepare the meringue. Combine sugar with water in a saucepan and cook the syrup until bubbles form.

9. Beat the whites and add the syrup in a thin stream.

10. Beat until a homogeneous glossy structure is formed.

11. Put the meringue on the tart and place it on the top shelf of the oven for 1 minute or until golden.
