Couscous with vegetables and fillet for dinner: a recipe for a hearty and budget-friendly dish for the whole family
Couscous is a very tasty and healthy product that can be the basis for making porridge and soups. It can also be cooked with fillets and vegetables in a frying pan and just 10-15 minutes.
The chef shared a recipe for a delicious and satisfying couscous with fillet and frozen vegetables on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken or turkey fillet
- 250 g of couscous
- 900 ml of water
- 250 g of tomato puree
- 150 g of onions
- 150 g of sweet pepper
- 150 g of carrots
- 150 g of zucchini
- 120 g of peas
- 5-6 cloves of garlic
- salt, pepper, paprika, coriander, suneli hops
- 30 g of oil for frying
- herbs for serving
Method of preparation:
1. Fry the chicken fillet cut into strips in vegetable oil until golden on both sides. Add diced onions and carrots, grated garlic, and all the spices, about 1 tsp each. Stir-fry for 7 minutes.
2. Pour in the mashed tomato, add the diced pepper and zucchini, cover with water, and add the peas. Bring to a boil and cook for 7-10 minutes.
3. Add the couscous, stir, and cook for another 7-8 minutes and it's ready.
Sprinkle with herbs to serve!
