No Christmas table is complete without donuts. They, like kutia, are a symbol of one of the biggest religious holidays of the year. That's why you should take special care and attention when preparing them.

A food blogger with the nickname diali_cooking shared how to make Christmas poppy seed donuts on Instagram. Following this recipe, the product will not become stale the next day.

Ingredients:

  • Yeast - 45 grams
  • Mashed potatoes - 500 g
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Vanilla
  • Eggs - 2 pcs
  • Butter - 50 g
  • Oil - 100 ml
  • Flour - 850 gr
  • Vodka - 2 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and yeast to the mashed potatoes.

2. Mix everything well with a whisk, pour in the melted butter, and oil and gradually add the flour.

3. Knead the soft dough and leave it warm under a towel for 1 hour.

4. Form the balls, roll them out, and add the filling.

5. Leave the doughnuts under the cling film to rise.

6. Fry in vegetable oil over medium heat until golden brown.

7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot.
