Chocolate pancake cake: an idea for a delicious and original dessert for Pancake Day
It is customary to cook pancakes on Pancake Day. They can be served as a main course or breakfast. Pancakes can also be used to make an incredibly tasty and delicious dessert.
On Instagram, food blogger Valentyna Kushch told us how to make an original dessert for Shrovetide from simple ingredients that will impress with its taste and appearance.

Ingredients for pancakes:
- Flour - 140 gr.
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Milk - 230 ml.
- Boiling water - 230 ml.
- Dark cocoa - 30 gr.
- Salt
- Sugar
- Butter - 30 ml.
Ingredients for the cream:
- Cream cheese - 300 gr.
- Cream 33% - 300 ml.
- Powdered sugar - 100 gr.
- Bitter chocolate - 100 gr.
- Cocoa for serving
Method of preparation.
1. Prepare the pancakes. Mix the flour with eggs, milk, salt, and sugar. Knead the mixture. Brew cocoa with boiling water and add to the batter. Mix and add the oil. If necessary, strain through a sieve.
2. Fry like regular pancakes on a greased frying pan on both sides.
3. Prepare the cream. Mix all the ingredients. The cream should be very cold. So should the cream cheese. Start beating with a mixer at low speed until smooth and fluffy.
Spread the white cream.

4. Melt the chocolate in a water bath. Let cool and add up to half of the cream.
5. Put the cream through a pastry bag in strips at a distance from each other.
6. Put another pancake on top and press the top pancake where it is empty with a wooden skewer. Alternate the cream.

7. Mix the rest of the cream and spread it on the sides of the cake and the top.
8. Put in the fridge to stabilize. Sprinkle with cocoa before serving.
