The highest continuous waterfall in China has been called a "fake" after a pipe was found flowing into it. A tourist posted a video showing water from the 321-meter-high Yuntai Mountain Waterfall flowing from a pipe.

After the obvious evidence, the Yuntai Tourist Park staff admitted to the deception. They admitted that the waterfall, which is the highest in Asia, receives help from the pipe due to the lack of precipitation, BBC News reports.

"I went through all the difficulties to the source of the Yuntai Falls just to see the pipe," wrote a tourist under the nickname Farisov. There are thousands of similar outrageous posts by travelers on social media. The topic of "the origin of Yuntai Falls is just a few pipes" became very popular on social media.

Instead, the operators of the Yuntai Tourist Park said that a "small improvement" during the dry season ensures that visitors will get a valuable trip. More than 7 million Chinese and foreign tourists come here every year, as the geological formations near the park are more than a billion years old.

To reassure tourists, the staff of the picturesque resort wrote a message as if on behalf of the waterfall. "I did not expect to meet everyone like this. As a seasonal landscape, I cannot guarantee that I will be in my most beautiful form every time you come to see me. I only made a small improvement during the dry season to look my best when meeting my friends," Yuntai Falls "said".

China is home to just over 17 percent of the world's population, but only 6 percent of the world's freshwater resources are located here. So there are water problems in China. Also, China has recently experienced extreme weather events, such as frosts in the south of the country in the spring and torrential downpours.
