Carrot and orange cupcake: how to make a delicious dessert from available products

Sometimes you really want to taste a delicious and simple homemade dessert made with simple ingredients. This way, you can evoke the warmest memories from the past in your head.

Food blogger Liza Hlinska showed on Instagram how she prepares just such a dessert. It's a carrot-orange cupcake that everyone will definitely enjoy, without exception.

Ingredients

  • Carrots – 200 gr
  • Orange zest – 1 pc
  • Eggs – 200 gr
  • Oil – 100 ml
  • Sugar – 250 gr
  • Sour cream 20% – 100 gr
  • Flour – 220 gr
  • Baking powder – 5 gr
  • Cinnamon – 2 gr
  • Walnuts – 100 gr

Ingredients for the butter cream

  • Cream cheese – 200 gr
  • Cream 30-35% – 100 ml
  • Powdered sugar – 40 gr
  • Orange zest – 1 pc

Method of preparation

1.Prepare the dough. Mix eggs, sugar, orange zest, sour cream, and oil.

2. Add the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.

3. Add the grated carrots and roasted walnuts.

4. Put the dough into the muffin tin. Fill the mold 2/3 full. Bake in an oven preheated to 165C for 40-50 minutes. Check for doneness with a wooden skewer.

5. Prepare the cream. Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and orange zest with a mixer.

6. Whip the cream separately.

7. Mix both masses and beat a little more.

8. Using the closed star nozzle, pipe the cream onto the cooled cupcake.

9. I use candied fruit for decoration.
