On Wednesday afternoon, July 17, a thunderstorm hit Kyiv and the Kyiv region, accompanied in some places by strong gusts of wind. As a result of the weather, trees were reported falling in some areas.
This was reported by a correspondent of OBOZ.UA. The first level of danger, yellow, has been declared in the region.
Thus, in the afternoon, a thunderstorm began in several districts of the capital and Kyiv region, accompanied by strong gusts of wind. As a result of the weather, in particular, in Hostomel, the squall broke down trees – one of them fell on a playground, which, fortunately, was not occupied at the time, and another on a car.
Earlier, weather forecasters warned of deteriorating weather conditions in the capital region - thunderstorms, hail in some places, and gusts of 15-20 m/s in the afternoon.
On Thursday, July 18, forecasters predict heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and gusts of 15-20 m/s in Kyiv and Kyiv region. The air in the region will warm up to +32°C.
