Borscht can be cooked much faster: a recipe for a universal dressing for the winter
If your family loves borscht, but you don't have time to cook it, use a universal borscht dressing. It should be made in advance, while the necessary seasonal vegetables are available. Then you just need to add it to the pot and chop it separately, and then you don't have to stew the vegetables.

Ingredients:
- beets – 1 kg
- onion – 1 kg
- carrots – 1 kg
- water – 100 ml
- oil – 300 ml
- bay leaves – 2 pcs
- salt – 2-3 tbsp
- pepper – 0.5 tsp
- apple cider vinegar – 70 ml
- sugar – 220 g
- tomato paste – 3 tbsp
- garlic – 4-5 cloves
Method of preparation:
1. Grate the beets and carrots on a coarse grater. You can use cooked or raw beets. The difference will be in the cooking time.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Stir thoroughly and cook for about an hour until the vegetables are tender.
4. After cooling, put into sterilized jars.
5. Store at room temperature.
6. It turns out 7 jars of 500 ml.
