Ingredients:

  • minced meat - 1 kg (50/50 chicken, pork)
  • onion - 1 pc
  • mushrooms - 100 g
  • egg - 1 pc
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • bacon - 12 slices
  • vegetable oil - for lubrication
  • sauce for serving - to taste

Method of preparation:

1. In a large bowl, combine the minced meat (a mixture of chicken and pork), chopped onion, finely chopped mushrooms and egg.

2. Add salt and pepper to taste.

3. Mix the mass thoroughly until smooth.

4. Form medium-sized meat balls from the prepared minced meat.

5. Wrap each ball in a slice of bacon so that it completely covers the surface.

6. Cover the baking sheet with parchment or grease it with oil.

7. Place the meat balls at a distance from each other.

8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

9. Bake the balls for 30 minutes.

10. After 30 minutes, take the balls out of the oven, brush them with your favorite sauce (for example, tomato or cream). Sprinkle with grated cheese if desired.

11. Return the balls to the oven for another 5 minutes to melt the cheese or slightly caramelize the sauce.

12. Serve the finished meat balls hot with your favorite side dish or vegetables.
