A drawing that scientists discovered in the coffin of an Egyptian mummy aged 3,500 years old has stunned everyone. On the inner lid of the sarcophagus archaeologists saw the image of a woman in long green clothes with blue hair in the shape of a rectangle, which is very similar to Marge from the cult cartoon "The Simpsons".

After publishing a photo of the unique find on Reddit, the network exploded with thousands of comments like "Egypt predicted the Simpsons", "It's Marge!". However, experts note that the Egyptian drawing actually shows a woman buried in a coffin during her journey to the afterlife, writes DailyMail.

Archaeologists say an Egyptian coffin contained the mummified remains of Tadi East, the daughter of the high priest of El-Ashmunein, a city located on the west bank of the Nile River and 27 miles south of her burial site in Minya.

The mummy was found in excellent condition, wearing a mask and a beaded dress. And her image on the inner lid of the sarcophagus is interesting not only for its resemblance to Margie Simpson. The drawing shows the woman surrounded by 12 high priestesses, symbolizing the 12 hours.

"This is a rare and important scene. Each scene has a different shape at a certain hour," Mustafa Waziri, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, told The Egyptian Gazette.

However, readers of the network are more interested in why still the daughter of the priest looks so much like a character from their favorite cartoon. Simpsomans have repeatedly noted that the creators of "The Simpsons" predict future events. For example, the 1992 episode of the cartoon predicted Washington's victory over the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl VXVI. And they also recall a 2000 episode that showed Donald Trump as president.

And as for the found sarcophagus, here the connoisseurs of "The Simpsons" emphasized that the drawing of the Egyptian coffin is "the only documented case in history, when the Simpsons did not do it first", but on the contrary, repeated something from the past.
