The capitalization (market value calculated based on the current stock exchange price) of a number of tech giants has exceeded the real GDP of countries with large economies. For example, Apple is already worth more than the UK's gross domestic product, and Google's capitalization has surpassed that of France.

This was pointed out by businessman Dmytro Puchkin on his Facebook page. "Nvidia is bigger than India's GDP and all Indian companies. Apple is bigger than Britain, Microsoft is bigger than France, Google is bigger than Canada, Amazon is bigger than Mexico, and Meta is bigger than Spain. Most (probably all) of these companies are from California," he said.

According to Google Finance data, we are mainly talking about the current capitalization (as of November 25, 2024) of these companies and the real GDP of the countries in 2023 (the latest data). The exception is the example of India and Nvidia, as the maximum capitalization of the company was taken - $3.6 trillion (as of the first week of November 2024).

As of November 25, Nvidia's market value slipped to $3.48 trillion. However, this is still comparable to India's real GDP in 2023$ 3.55 trillion. Also, Nvidia remains the world's largest company with the highest capitalization.

Apple is in second place with a market valuation of $3.47 trillion. This exceeds the UK's real GDP, which amounted to $3.34 trillion in 2023. Apple's capitalization, by the way, is already more than 19 times Ukraine's annual GDP ($178.8 billion in 2023).

Microsoft is in third place on the list of the world's largest companies by market capitalization with $3.1 trillion. France ended 2023 with a real GDP of $3.03 trillion.

Amazon is fourth in the current top, with a capitalization of $2.07 trillion. This is indeed more than Mexico's GDP ($1.70 trillion).

Meta, mentioned in the list, is not in the top 5. Its current capitalization is $1.41 trillion. And this, by the way, does not exceed the GDP of Spain in 2023 ($1.58 billion).

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Donald Trump's victory in the US elections led not only to the growth of US tech stocks but also to a record rise in the price of bitcoin. The reason for this was Trump's election promises to liberalize the cryptocurrency market and increase protectionism against American companies.
