A Russian citizen caused an accident in Thailand, blacking out several blocks of the resort island

On March 29, in the popular resort of Phuket, Thailand, a Russian man caused an accident that led to a power outage and a blackout in several blocks of Rawai Beach. A surveillance camera captured the car making a wrong turn and crashing into a power line pole.

This was reported by local TV channel 7HD. After that, the car turned around and hit parked vehicles, subsequently crashing into a building. As a result of the accident, seven poles were knocked down and five motorcycles and a sedan were damaged.

According to media reports, no one was injured, including a Russian tourist. Instead, the Russian's car turned into scrap metal. Local residents noted online that the Russian citizen repeatedly exceeded the speed limit on the road.

According to Phuket police, the 30-year-old offender lost control of the vehicle. He was charged with damaging public property and damaging private property. If he tests positive for alcohol, the driver will face a stricter sentence.
