On the morning of March 21, a large-scale traffic accident occurred on the Sknylivskyi Bridge in Lviv. Law enforcement officials reported that 27 cars collided.
It is worth noting that at the time of the accident, there was heavy fog in Lviv, so police urged drivers to be extremely careful on the roads. This was reported by the press service of the Patrol Police of Lviv region.
The agency noted that three accidents occurred at once on the Sknylivskyi Bridge on Horodotska Street. According to police, about 25 vehicles collided. Traffic on the overpass is reversed in only one lane out of six.
Meanwhile, Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reports that 27 vehicles collided. The mayor also noted that the accident can be bypassed via Kiltseva and Aviatsionna streets. The mayor added that public transportation has resumed its normal route, but buses are running on the Sknylivsky Bridge with delays.
According to preliminary reports, no one was injured in the accident. The patrol police urged drivers to be very careful, cautious and strictly follow the rules of the road. Law enforcement officials remind that during fog, drivers should drive with their headlights or fog lights on.
The police also recommend avoiding risky maneuvers and, if necessary, reducing the speed of the vehicle.
As a reminder, two people were killed and a small child injured in a car accident near the village of Pyatnychany, Stryi district, Lviv region. The accident occurred on March 17 at about 19:00 on the Kyiv-Chop highway.
Earlier it was reported that on March 17, a fatal accident with a shuttle bus occurred in the Dnipropetrovs'k region. Three people died and at least 14 were injured. There are children among the victims.
According to OBOZ.UA, near the village of Tyaziv (), a Mercedes C220 drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a bus heading from Uizd to Ivano-Frankivsk. The bus driver and two passengers were killed.
