Quite often, genetic features give animals an unusual appearance. Recently, several kittens, one of which has four ears, were brought to the True Rescue shelter in Mount Juliet, USA.

According to IFLScience, the animal appeared in the institution at the age of 8-9 weeks. Because of its unique appearance, the organization's employees named the new ward Audio.

The True Rescue shelter noted that the specialists will definitely examine the kitten's health, but they believe that the additional pair of hearing organs will not affect his vital functions.

"We will have him fully checked by a veterinarian, but as far as we know, the inner ear is absolutely normal and will not cause any problems, except for the presence of additional valves that need to be cleaned!" the organization members said.

Despite the fact that such a pathology is very rare, a few years ago a four-eared cat named Midas was born in Turkey. The owner of the animal noted that the genetic feature does not interfere with the full functioning of the pet, so True Rescue workers are convinced that their ward will not have to lose its uniqueness.
