A funeral ceremony for Polish volunteer Filip Antosiak took place in the center of Kyiv. The defender of Ukraine was killed in the Pokrovsk sector on January 19.

Thus, on Thursday, January 30, a memorial service was held at St. Michael's Cathedral in Kyiv for the deceased 19-year-old Polish volunteer Filip Antosiak. Then, a farewell ceremony for the defender of Ukraine was held on Independence Square. The soldier's relatives, comrades-in-arms, and concerned Kyiv residents came to pay their respects and send him off on his last journey.
Filip was born in 2005 in Poland. In recent years, he lived and studied in Oxford, England. He volunteered to serve in a foreign unit of the 25th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The soldier's life was cut short in a battle in Donbas in the Pokrovsk sector on January 19.
"We were and will be proud of our son and his decision to go to fight for justice," said the soldier's mother, Angelika Kuza.
