Why laser hair removal is more effective and safer than sugaring

Most young people are familiar with laser hair removal and sugaring procedures. Today we're going to look at the differences between these procedures and define which one is better to choose in terms of six main criteria: preparation, pain, intervals, course duration, price, and safety.

Laser hair removal. The average price depends on the region of Ukraine, the device, and the level of the beauty salon or clinic. On average, a deep bikini plus underarms package costs from 500 to 1,200 hryvnias.

Sugaring. A deep bikini plus underarms package costs from 350 to 600 UAH.

Safety

Laser hair removal is performed on smooth skin, and after each client, the device manipulator must be properly disinfected. At the client's request, the technician should wrap the part of the manipulator that touches the body with cling film (keep in mind that this will slightly reduce the effectiveness of the procedure).

The essence of sugaring is hair plucking, which means that the skin is injured, so in terms of safety, this is not the best option.

Unlike sugaring, laser hair removal never leaves ingrown hairs.
