Autumn crocus (Colchicum)

Even the seeds are poisonous, with a colchicine content of 0.5%. When ingested, colchicine causes vomiting and stomach upset.

Cuckoo pint (Arum maculatum)

This is an herbaceous plant that contains toxic substances. Arum causes skin reactions: irritation, inflammation and burning. Even swelling of the tongue and lips is possible.

Lily of the valley
