Hake or walleye pollack is a very budget-friendly and hearty fish. There are few bones in it, so the preparation will take a minimum of time. And for a good taste it is enough to make a spicy marinade with vegetables and spices.

Ingredients:
- fish (hake, pollack) - 1 kg
- carrots - 2 units
- tomato paste - 70 g
- salt, pepper, fish spices
- vinegar - 1 tbsp.
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- bay leaf, allspice, pepper, pepper peppercorns
- vegetable oil - for frying
- breading flour
- water (about 1 cup)

1. Grate carrots on a large grater.
2. Wash the hake, clean it, cut into pieces.
3. Add all the spices, mix.

4. Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil.
5. Bread the fish in flour and send the pieces to the pan.

6. Roast until tender on all sides over medium heat.
7. In a separate frying pan also heat the oil. Put the carrots.

8. Add the tomato paste to the carrots.
9. Stir well, fry for a few minutes and pour in the water.
10. Braise for about 15 minutes on low heat.

11. Add bay leaves and pepper.
12. Stir, add sugar and vinegar.
13. Braise for 5 more minutes.

14. Transfer the fish to a mold or plate and pour the marinade on top.
15. Leave until completely cooled to soak.
