The UTF has published an official response

The Ukrainian Tennis Federation has stated that it respects the position of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and will follow the order of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which prohibits sending official delegations to competitions involving representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. The only tennis tournaments where Ukrainians will play are the Davis Cup, the Billie Jean King Cup, as well as the European Winter and Summer Team Cups and the European Individual Championships.

"Currently, representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus are not scheduled to participate in these competitions," the FTU press service said.

The Federation notes that if the situation changes and representatives of the aggressor countries are allowed to compete, the official delegations of the Ukrainian Tennis Federation will be cancelled.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on April 17, Ukraine lost to the Czech Republic (1-3) and failed to reach the final of the Billie Jean King Cup for the second time in a row. Our tennis players will play in the playoffs in November for the right to qualify for the tournament in 2024.
