Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to destroy the enemy on all fronts

On the 408th day of the war, the occupiers continue to focus their offensive on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 40 attacks there over the past day, continuing to "demilitarise" the enemy.

At the same time, the invaders continue to wreak terror on the occupied territories, forcing Ukrainians to obtain Russian passports and change other documentation to Russian standards. This is stated in the operational summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, released on the evening of April 7.

As noted, in the Bakhmut sector, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, trying to capture Bakhmut, and fighting continues.

During the day, the occupants tried to advance in the areas of Bohdanivka and Ivanivske, but were unsuccessful. Ukrainian defence forces repelled about 14 attacks in the area. Vasyukivka, Mynkivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Kurdyumivka, Bila Hora, Novodmitrivka, Druzhba and Diliyivka in the Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy tried to advance in the area of Serebryanske and Verkhnekamyanske forestry, but failed. Makiivka, Nevske, Dibrova, Kuzmine, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Spirne and Berestove in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire once again.

In the Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors, the enemy attacked in the areas of Novokalynove, Pivnichne, Pervomaiske, Maryinka and Peremoha, but without success.

The fiercest fighting in this sector is taking place in the vicinity of Maryinka, where over 10 enemy attacks were repelled. At the same time, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka and Peremoha in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire.

The occupants did not advance in the Shakhtarsk sector during the day. They fired at Vuhledar, Kermenchyk, Novomayorsk, Zolota Niva, Shakhtarske, and Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to build up defensive lines and positions. It fired at the settlements of Vremivka in the Donetsk region; Zatyshcha, Gulyaypole, Gulyaypilske, Bilohirya and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhya region; Havrylivka, Beryslav, Vesele, Antonivka, Berehove, Veletynske in the Kherson region, as well as Kherson itself.

At the same time, the invaders are actively continuing the forced passportisation process in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, exerting psychological and physical pressure. At checkpoints, they restrict the movement of Ukrainians who have not received a Russian passport, search cars, record all personal data, and threaten to ban them from entering.

Postmen are being forced to hand out forms requiring people to provide information about their Russian passports. Those who do not have it are subjected to constant searches and intimidation. The occupiers are actively threatening to forcefully evict people from their homes and confiscate their private property in case of refusal.

For the same reason, parents of school leavers are threatened with the denial of secondary education certificates for their children.

The invaders are also forcing people to change their marriage certificates and vehicle registration certificates from Ukrainian to Russian forms.

In the Volyn, Polissya, Siversk and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of enemy offensive groups have been detected. In the border areas of the Kursk region, the enemy continues to equip the area with engineering equipment.

During the day, the enemy fired at Leonivka and Hremyach in the Chernihiv region; Novovasylivka and Zarutske in the Sumy region; and Guryev Kozachok, Verkhnya Pysarivka, Hrafske, Karaichne, Ambarne, and Bologivka in the Kharkiv region.

During the day, Russian troops launched 2 missile and 14 air strikes, fired more than 10 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure. The threat of attacks remains high throughout Ukraine, the General Staff warned.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's defenders continue to "demilitarise" the enemy. Over the last day, the Defence Forces aviation carried out 9 strikes on the occupiers' concentration areas. In addition, a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft was destroyed near Maryinka.

Missile and artillery units destroyed an enemy ammunition depot.
