The US launches a nanosatellite created by Ukrainian scientists into Earth's orbit. Video.

On Tuesday, January 3, the United States launched another Ukrainian nanosatellite, PolyITAN-HP-30, created to mark the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, and the EOS SAT-1 satellite into Earth's orbit. SpaceX's Falcon-9 rocket launched from Cape Canaveral at 16:56 Kyiv time.

The live broadcast of the launch began at 16:00 Kyiv time on January 3 on KPImedia, the official YouTube channel of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. In addition to the Ukrainian nanosatellite, the Falcon-9 rocket carries 113 payloads.

According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the PolyITAN-HP-30 nanosatellite was created by scientists from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" exclusively at the expense of the budget. They were provided by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine as part of the implementation of the projects of the winners of research and development competitions and the basic funding agreement.

Thanks to the sponsorship of Boeing Ukraine, the support of the Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) and the State Space Agency of Ukraine, the PolyITAN-HP-30 nanosatellite was delivered to the United States.

The Falcon-9 rocket also launched EOS SAT-1, the first satellite in a proprietary constellation created by EOSDA (a global provider of artificial intelligence-based satellite image analytics), a company founded by Max Polyakov.

Recall that on November 23, the American company SpaceX of businessman Ilon Musk launched the Falcon 9 rocket with the European communications satellite Eutelsat 10B into orbit. It launched from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Space Force Station at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The spacecraft sent into orbit will replace the Eutelsat 10A satellite, which will expire at the end of 2023.
