How to grow carrots properly for the best taste

It is best to sow carrots in the garden next to onions. This neighborhood keeps pests away from the root crop.

It is better to sow carrots with row spacing of 25-30 cm. The sowing depth should not be too deep - up to 3 cm.

Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked. To do this, they are placed in water at room temperature for 2 days. When sprouts appear, they can be planted in the ground. But first of all, the seeds should be dried. Dried seeds, if you cannot sow them immediately, can be stored in the refrigerator for some time.

First, you need to pour water into the hole where the carrots will be sown. After that, the seeds are covered with soil and tamped down.

Thin out the carrots when 2-3 true sprouts appear from the ground. The distance between the plants should be 4-5 cm.

Carrots love water and will grow sweet only if they are sufficiently moistened. Therefore, it needs to be watered during the dry season.
