The Security Service of Ukraine in the course of a multi-stage special operation detained an FSB saboteur who was preparing to blow up a railroad track near Avdiivka. The occupier's henchman turned out to be a railway station worker from the city of Ukrainsk, Donetsk Region.

This was reported on May 25 by the press service of the SSU. It is noted that the occupiers planned to disrupt the logistics of the Defense Forces, including the provision of fuel and ammunition (photos and video are posted at the bottom of the news).

In order to commit the sabotage, the FSB agent had to take explosives from a prepared cache and place them near the line of the rolling stock.

The SSU officers exposed the saboteur in time and detained him.

According to investigators, in March 2023, the FSB remotely involved him in tacit cooperation. The Russian special service drew attention to him because he was actively leaving comments in support of the occupants in banned social networks.

For the purpose of recruitment via the Internet, the FSB engaged its informant from the temporarily occupied territory of Donetchina - a nurse of the occupation group "Sparta".

Subsequently, it was her who was "in touch" with the saboteur. As "test assignments" he passed the enemy locations of Ukrainian troops in the Avdiivka direction. The invaders were also interested in the locations of the AFU units on the territory of the Pokrovsky district.

Then the defendant was tasked to sabotage a railway transport facility. A cell phone with evidence of reconnaissance and subversive activities against Ukraine was seized from him.

SSU investigators informed him of suspicion under part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The saboteur was taken into custody. He faces a life sentence.

- A Russian agent was detained in Chernivtsi, who spied on units of the AFU, the SSU and the State Border Service. He also transmitted to the Russian Main Directorate of Intelligence the coordinates of bridges and power substations in Bukovina and Kharkiv region.

- The Security Service detained an enemy agent in Zaporizhzhya who had been spying on the positions of the AFU marines. He turned out to be a former tax police official.
