How to clean car seats without chemicals

For most drivers, it's important to keep their car looking neat and attractive, and this applies not only to the exterior. Seats get dirty quickly, especially if you have small children or pets. Stains from food, drinks, wool, and debris from the street spoil the surface and create an unpleasant odor.

OBOZ.UA has found effective life hacks that will help you quickly deal with this. You don't need to take your car for professional cleaning, just make a solution yourself.

Fabric seats are comfortable, but they get dirty quickly, so you need to identify the problem in time to avoid the formation of stubborn stains.

Baking soda

This simple ingredient will remove unwanted stains without damaging the material. First, you need to clean the seat from debris and dirt. Vacuum the surface thoroughly. Then sprinkle baking soda on the stains and leave for 15-20 minutes.

Use a soft brush to wipe the stained areas and vacuum the seat again. Dampen a microfiber cloth with warm water and wipe the necessary surfaces again to get rid of any remaining dirt.

Leather and vinyl seats also require special care.

White vinegar

This safe ingredient will not damage the coating and will help eliminate unpleasant odors. Mix warm water and vinegar in a 1:1 ratio, dampen a microfiber cloth and gently wipe the seat. Then wipe the surface again with a dry cloth to remove any residual solution.

You can also use coconut oil to make the interior shine and smell nice. Use a sponge to apply it to the seats. However, avoid excessive use so as not to leave greasy stains.
