The best whitening agent for school blouses: what to add to the washing machine

The new school year always brings white blouses and shirts, adorned with various stains from snacks during breaks, paints from art classes, grass from the schoolyard, pen paste, and more. Dealing with these stains is a regular challenge. While traditional chlorine bleach can be helpful, it quickly damages the fabric.

Fortunately, there are inexpensive remedies that can effectively address the issue. These methods work well for adult clothes, as well as for bedding, towels, and other items. OBOZREVATEL is here to share a useful life hack.

To rejuvenate your items, you'll need hydrogen peroxide in pharmacy concentration and white vinegar, which can be used together or separately.

For a combined approach, place the white clothes in the washing machine drum and add one cup of peroxide and half a cup of vinegar. Include your usual detergent powder or gel in the detergent compartment and wash the clothes on a long cycle (at least an hour) at 60 degrees. Alternatively, use the highest possible temperature if the clothes allow.

You can also soak white clothes in a peroxide solution before washing them to restore their whiteness. To do this, dilute 3 tablespoons of the product in a bowl of warm water (30-35 degrees). Place the clothes in this solution and leave them for 20-30 minutes. Stir the clothes occasionally to enhance the peroxide's effectiveness. After soaking, wash them as usual.

Vinegar is effective in removing gray or yellow deposits from textiles and restoring their softness. Add a glass of vinegar to the fabric softener compartment during the next wash of white clothes. Wash your clothes on the most suitable cycle for them. As a result, they should shine with whiteness.
