Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the West is allegedly waging an "undeclared war" against Russia and Belarus . He also complained about "aggressive NATO".

This statement was made by Shoigu at a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Khrenin on Thursday. Russian propaganda media reported it.

"Today, together we are confronting the collective West, which is waging an essentially undeclared war against our countries," Shoigu said.

According to the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, NATO's military activity "has taken on a maximally aggressive orientation."

"A package of measures is being implemented to increase the combat readiness of the alliance's Joint Armed Forces in Eastern Europe. Additional military contingents and military infrastructure are being deployed, and training, combat and reconnaissance activities near the borders of the Union State are being intensified," Shoigu said.

As a reminder, Shoigu is trying to deflect attention from accusations that the Russian Defense Ministry cannot provide the army with enough ammunition. To this end, he recently stated that the Russian defense industry is increasing production of high-precision missiles.

Earlier, Shoigu announced plans of the Russian defense industry. The Russian Minister of Defense announced an increase in the rate of production of weapons and equipment for use in the war of aggression against Ukraine.

As OBOZREVATEL reported earlier, Shoigu and Gerasimov may agree with the CIA to eliminate Putin. The Kremlin leader is so afraid of betrayal that he is constantly rotating among his guards.
