Russian national karate fighter went to kill Ukrainians and was eliminated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Artem Pavlushchenko, a participant in city and regional competitions in Volgograd, a member of the Russian youth karate team, who was a graduate of the Moscow Combined Arms Command School, was killed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The 26-year-old occupier was a lieutenant of the Storm-Z unit, which was stationed on the border of Donetsk Oblast.

According to Russian propaganda resources, on the night of March 17-18, the Armed Forces of Ukraine covered Pavlushchenko's positions with mortar fire.

The athlete was injured, but allegedly stayed to help his wounded comrades. During their evacuation, he sustained multiple injuries and died in hospital.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on February 1, the Ukrainian army killed the secretary general of the Russian Karate Kekushinkai Federation (RKF), Sergei Uvytsky, in Donbas.

Prior to that, the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed a defender of the Rubin football club from Bryansk Oblast. The 36-year-old athlete was called up for mobilisation, but spent very little time at the front.

On October 15, it became known that Bimba Tsydenzhapov, an occupier from Trans-Baikal, had been killed. The Russian graduated from a Mogoytuy school in 2017, was a prize-winner of regional and district competitions in athletics and football, and was repeatedly awarded the title of "Top Scorer".

Prior to that, Ukraine killed 26-year-old Russian soldier Alexei Bakulev, who in 2017 became the world champion in tank biathlon as part of the Russian national team and in 2019 received the Army Cup.

On May 21, tank biathlon champion Sergei Bronnikov was killed in Russia. The 30-year-old native of Borzya, Trans-Baikal Territory, served in the 36th Separate Guards Lozov Red Banner Motorised Rifle Brigade.
