On the night of Sunday, May 28, Russian troops staged a massive kamikaze drone attack on Kyiv. There were explosions in the capital, air defense work, and more than 20 UAVs were destroyed.

Fires broke out in several places due to the fall of enemy drones. This was reported by the mayor of the capital Vitaly Klitschko and Kyiv City Military Administration.

"The air defense forces have already destroyed more than 20 UAVs moving toward Kyiv. But a new wave of drones is coming towards the capital. Stay in cover. Do not neglect your safety. The night will be difficult," Klitschko wrote.

There were explosions and fires in the Holosiivsky district. It was reported that debris fell on the territory of the gas station, but this information was not confirmed.

"As a result of debris hitting a 7-story non-residential building, part of the wall collapsed and a fire broke out on the 3rd floor. Casualties: 1 person injured (lower limb injuries), 1 person died". - noted in KCMA.

Also in Holosiivsky district, the fall of UAV debris caused the roof of a shopping mall to catch fire and a fire in a construction site.

In the same area, the roof of a three-story warehouse building caught fire.

"The fire on an area of 700 square meters was localized. Destroyed building structures on a total area of 1000 sq. m. The rescuers involved the latest means and technology to eliminate the fire. Thanks to our rescuers and firefighters!" - said the mayor on Sunday morning.

At the same time Klitschko wrote that the wreckage of the UAV fell near the premises of a gas station in the Solomensky district. A 41-year-old man died, a woman of 35 years old was hospitalized.

"In the Solomensky district, where the debris from the UAV hit a 7-story non-residential building, part of the wall collapsed and a fire broke out on the 3rd floor. Rescuers are working on site", - added the mayor.

In addition, in the Pechersky district of the capital as a result of falling debris there was a fire on the roof of the house. Information about the victims is being clarified.

Klitschko specified that the debris of the enemy UAV fell on the roof of a nine-story building, all the services went there. The mayor also reported the explosions in Solomensky and the work of the air defense in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv.

KCMA showed the consequences of falling debris in the Pechersk district.

In Darnitskiy district, as a result of the impact of UAV debris in one of the stores, windows were broken, also there were damaged doors. "Information about the victims is clarified", - said in the KCMA .
