The FOZZY supermarket chain is leaving Odesa. The reason is the complete destruction of a hypermarket in the city after it was shelled by Russia.

This was reported by the chain itself. They noted that

  • no employees were killed in the shelling;
  • three people were injured, "their condition is stable now".

"As a result of the Russian attack on the night of 13-14 August, the premises of our FOZZY hypermarket in Odesa were destroyed to the ground and cannot be restored. We regret to inform you that FOZZY in Odesa will not be open," the statement said.

However, it is possible that the chain's departure from Odesa is not final. The company's signature to the announcement hints at this: "The FOZZY hypermarket in Odesa temporarily suspends its operations".

Thus, judging by this signature, the market may resume operations in the city in the future. However, it is not specified when, where and in what form.

What is known about the shelling of Odesa

On the night of 14 August, Russian troops attacked Odesa and the region with Kalibr cruise missiles and kamikaze attack drones. The debris of enemy missiles fell in the city, causing fires and destruction, and injuring three people.

As Suspilne reported, the attack caused a fire in one of the city's hypermarkets. It was probably FOZZY.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, earlier Russia destroyed the largest poultry farm in Europe, Chornobaivska. Millions of chickens were killed.
