Two-time USSR champion (1987, 1989) and legendary Russian footballer Alexander Mostovoy gave a short interview to the Spanish media. The 54-year-old Mostovoy was a real star for Celta at the turn of the 90s and noughties. Playing as a midfielder, the Russian played 235 matches for the team from Vigo, scoring 54 goals.

Answering a question about the situation in his homeland, Mostovoy admitted that it is difficult to live in Russia now.
"In sports, for example, we play only in Russia, and it is difficult. The worst thing is the uncertainty, because we don't know what will happen in the future. I live in Moscow and you see that there are people who live very poorly, with constant worries, with fear... you always have to look at what's behind you. You cannot live like you used to, like we did ten years ago, because people are afraid. We want this conflict to stop," Relevo quoted Mostovoy as saying.
