The footage shows the real emotions of the defenders of Ukraine, who, after a long time, set foot on their native land for the first time. Some are overjoyed, others are confused and not fully aware of what is happening, and still others are crying, hugging their loved ones and friends. However, all of them are absolutely happy.

Immediately after the exchange, the Ukrainian soldiers called their families and, without holding back tears, informed them that they were in Ukraine.

"Mum! Everything is fine, I'm back, alive and well. Everything is fine, mummy," said one of the exchanged defenders.

Another thanked everyone who worked on this exchange and noted that the military had been waiting for this day.

"We have been waiting for this day. It's a great feeling," he added.

It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the release of 100 Ukrainian defenders from Russian captivity. He noted that this gave 100 Ukrainian families real joy on the eve of Easter.

As part of a large-scale prisoner exchange, Azovstal defender Valeria "Nava" Karpilenko was released from Russian captivity on April 10. A poet from Mariupol, she joined the Azov regiment to be with her boyfriend, border guard Andriy Subbotin.
