Main trends of spring 2024: what will be in fashion this season. Photos
Almost half of winter is over, so it's time to think about outfits for spring. Floral prints, high-waisted jeans, and short shorts are back in fashion. While winter jackets and sheepskin coats don't allow you to express yourself as much as you'd like, trends suggest that spring will allow you to play it safe.
Glamour magazine talked about the fashion trends that will be popular in spring 2024. The season promises to be bright and diverse in looks, and brands are already preparing for new collections.
1. Masculine femininity
Jeans, pants, and shorts are very comfortable. But the trends of spring 2024 suggest wearing skirts and dresses because they showcase femininity.
"What's important is that these skirts will no longer be paired with a cute cropped cardigan or a sexy vest. Instead, think about oversized shirts, men's sweaters, oversized blazers..." Glamour explained.
2. Sophisticated business style
Business suits can be worn not only to the office but also in everyday life. You can experiment with them by changing proportions, wearing oversized jackets, and even incorporating thin knitwear.
3. High-rise pants
Over the past few years, low-rise pants, reminiscent of the 90s and 00s, have held their ground. However, high-waisted jeans and trousers are now making a comeback in fashion to replace them.
4. Comfort comes first
Sportswear is no longer reserved only for the gym, as it is also comfortable for everyday wear. "Hooded sweatshirts have now taken the place of casual day dresses," writes Glamour.
5. Floral print
This trend revolves around roses. "Designers showcased these flowers on their spring-summer runways, and Simone Rocha, as usual, went even further by adding real roses to many of her stunning sheer dresses," the magazine noted.
6. Metallic texture and shine
Gold and silver are likely to become the new trendy colors of spring. Glamour agrees that metallic dresses are best suited for parties.
7. Short shorts
Shorts that barely cover the buttocks are back in fashion.
"Of course, it takes a certain amount of courage - and warm weather - to do this while leaving almost half of your body exposed. For a gentle dip into the trend, pair them with tall boots for a little more coverage," Glamour writes.
