Investigators from the KIU (Killed in Ukraine) OSINT project have found that 2,000 Russian officers have already been killed in the war in Ukraine. However, they emphasise that the real losses could be 2-3 times higher.

This was reported on the project's Twitter account. It is noted that the liquidation of Russian officers is confirmed by information from open sources. These are publications about the funerals and obituaries.

Based on this, the investigators concluded that as of March 28, 2023, the aggressor country had already lost two thousand officers of various ranks.

Most of them were senior lieutenants (617), captains (372) and lieutenants (337). The Armed Forces of Ukraine also "demilitarised" 260 majors, 135 lieutenant colonels, 54 colonels and four major generals. In addition, 221 officers of other ranks were sent to follow the Russian ship.

It should be noted that according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, our soldiers have eliminated about 171,730 people from the ranks of the aggressor country's army.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, earlier in the Luhansk sector, soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated four Russian occupiers and showed a video of a night battle. The snipers of the 3rd separate regiment of Special Forces named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave did it.
